What You'll Learn
Aussie Conditions
Look, if you're just washing your car and thinking that's enough, you're missing the microscopic grit that kills your shine. Between the bat droppings in the suburbs and the salt spray on the coast, Aussie paint takes a beating. I've put together this quick checklist so you can strip the nasties without messing up your clear coat. It's the same process I use for my mobile clients.

What You'll Need
The Decon Process
Chemical Iron Removal
Spray the fallout remover on dry paint. Let it dwell for 3-5 minutes until it turns purple, but don't let it dry. Rinse thoroughly.
Tar and Sap Spot Clean
Dab your tar remover on any stubborn black spots or sticky sap. Give it a minute, then wipe gently with a microfibre. Rinse again.
The Clay Stage
Work one panel at a time. Use plenty of lube and glide the clay over the paint with zero pressure. When it stops grabbing, it's clean.
Final Wash and Rinse
Give the whole car a quick soapy wash to remove any leftover lube or chemicals. Rinse it off like you mean it.
Dry the Vehicle
Use a clean, plush drying towel. I like to use a bit of detailer spray as a drying aid to prevent any marring.
