The Safe-Wash Process
Wheels First
Clean wheels while the rest of the car is dry. This stops water from drying on the black panels while you're busy scrubbing tyres.
The Snow Foam Soak
Coat the car in thick foam. Let it dwell for 5 minutes to lift the red dust and grit before you even touch the paint.
Thorough Rinse
Pressure wash from the top down. Get into every crack and crevice. You want as little dirt as possible left before the contact wash.
Two-Bucket Wash
Wash one panel at a time using very light pressure. Rinse your mitt in the 'rinse' bucket after every single pass. Seriously.
Iron Decon
Spray an iron remover on the wet paint. If it turns purple, it's working. Rinse it off thoroughly before it dries.
Lubricated Drying
Mist the car with a drying aid while wet. Lay your microfibre towel flat and 'creep' it across the surface to suck up water.
Protect the Finish
Apply your sealant. Black paint loves a good synthetic sealant in Autumn to guard against the high UV levels we're still getting.
